Brother Varre is a rather short human with a ginger beard
and his hair cut into a monk's tonsure. He is best known as the leader of the
Monks of Threadwood Abbey, a group of bandits who operated from an abandoned
abbey near the community of Treeport. It
has lately been revealed that the bandits may actually be some kind of
religious order, serving Ryat, the God of Thieves. Varre seems to be especially
favored by Ryat, as he demonstrated various clerical magics during the recent
raid upon the abbey by the Sheriff of Treeport and representatives from the
Temple of Abasha. Although Varre
escaped, it is doubtful that Treeport and the surrounding region have seen the
last of him, or his followers.
