Since the end of the Draconic invasion, most folk have been fleeing Mountgate. So it was quite a surprise to the city’s denizens when Lady Jeda Evatny arrived at the city’s gates. Beautiful, gracious and poised, Lady Jeda had come from Swordhold to reestablish her family’s holdings and help restore the city. General Fulcrys has held her up as an example of true nobility and welcomed her counsel, informally, when it comes to economic and diplomatic matters. 

What no one suspects is that Lady Jeda is a member of the Veil. She has come to assess Vasta Ramanon and prepare alternate plans in case Vasta’s coup fails. Lady Jeda is also examining Rabun Half-Orc’s criminal network, with plans to either destroy it or convince Rabun to ally with the Veil.
